Your new host may require you to add a new credit card and pay for a one year renewal up front to transfer. Your existing host ( Go Daddy ) will not provide any credits on unused service or renewals.
Godaddy ( our domain host ) will ask you to open an account for the transfer. If transfering to another website you can do it from the Go Daddy account.
